SRIRAM’s IAS offers guidance in General Studies along with CSAT and OPTIONALS. This is the ONLY institute which has integrated the preparation of Essay and conduct of TEST SERIES along with G.S Prelim–cum- Mains course. We have following courses . They are:-
I. GS Prelim-cum-Mains (with CSAT): Starts twice in a year . First one in May/June and second one in August/September. Covers Prelims Papers I and II as well as the Four Papers of Mains and ESSAY. II. CSAT only: Starts in June / September III.OPTIONALS : Starts twice in a year in August and November.
Optionals offered are History, public Administration , Anthropology , Sociology, Political Science and IR IV. GS Mains Test Series: Starts just after the declaration of Prelims results and ends in September. V. GS Prelims Test Series: Starts in Jan and continues till May. VI. Interview: Our Interview Mock sessions commences days after the results are out. A. Prelims-cum-Mains Courses are suitable for all freshers.
B. Mains & prelims Test Series are highly beneficial for the those who have already appeared for the Examination and want an authentic simulation where discussion adds lot of value to the preparation. It can fine-tune their performance. In fact, we do not enroll those who have not appeared for the Prelims into the Mains Test Series. Proof is required.
Each GS Class is for 2 hours daily and the total duration of the course is almost 10 months. CSAT Class runs parallel with GS class by holding 2 hours of additional classes and lasts almost 3 months .Sundays may not be a holiday. After the faculty lectures, students have the option of raising queries either privately or among the students. Faculty being experienced and knowledgeable, students benefit immensely. Classes are held with a clear pre-announced schedule . There may be minor variations in it.
Civil Services Examination is knowledge-intensive. The knowledge required is unlike any other examination. Nuances are the key. It is not amassing information. We constantly evaluate the performance of the candidates. From day one, students submit answers and get them evaluated. UPSC provides equal opportunities and level playing field for students belonging to different streams. In fact, the Civil Services Examination is a Great Leveller. It does not differentiate between candidates belonging to Sciences/Arts/ Humanities/Languages/Commerce/Medicine/law. There is some advantage for the Science stream in CSAT (Remember the Mukherjee Nagar agitation and the debate that it generated!) Once again, experience has shown that if you follow the schedule that we set; attend classes without exception; Read the material we provide, it is perfectly doable.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) changed the pattern of the Preliminary Examination. Optional is replaced with Paper II which has numeracy and reasoning - broadly. Originally English language was also tested but in 2014 it was removed as a result of protests. We stress that the two papers have to be studied together as there is aptitudinal continuity and constancy between the two. Sriram's has very competent faculty for the Paper II who can build from basics and take care of all varieties of students- irrespective of their stream.
One of the first preconditions set by Sriram sir in the introductory lecture is that classes will be useful far more than we can imagine if previous years’ papers- last 15-20- are studied and digested. That makes our expectations accurate. We cover the last ten years papers suo moto. And more if students bring it up. It is very important as ‘trend is friend’. We can make out the trend and keep you ready for future.
Every year we invariably send 200 odd candidates into various services with Sriram's students securing at least two to six positions in top 10.
